Business Development/Marketing Advisor

Job Summary: The Business Development/Marketing Advisor is primarily responsible for developing new business and assisting the Director of Sales and Marketing with the marketing efforts of the firm. The position may also have responsibility for acting as the Lead Advisor to a few select clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Business Development/Marketing Advisor can expect to focus their work in the following areas:  Identifying and bringing new clients to the firm  Networking and representing firm at events, functions…  Developing marketing outreach, including public relations and events  Cultivating and tracking new opportunities firm-wide  Assist the Director of Sales and Marketing with core marketing efforts of the firm (development, execution and continued improvement) o Set specific, measurable marketing goals and articulate them in a firm-wide marketing plan o Measure plan success and continuously strive to improve results o Coach Advisors in developing new business o Coordinate advisor business development with events and initiatives.

Qualifications

This Business Development/Marketing Advisor position typically requires the following qualifications:  To embrace and live our Core Values of Integrity, Teamwork, Humility, Excellence and Enthusiasm  7 years of experience in business development, marketing and/or sales support activities (financial advisory services and/ investment management experience desired)  Strong knowledge of the wealth management process and investment management process, strategies and issues  Networking, business development and selling acumen  Strong interpersonal skills with ability to listen, communicate and influence as well as build strong client relationships  Well developed presentation and sales skills  A passion for caring for clients  A team player in The Joseph Group’s “Best Places to Work” culture  Desire/ability to work successfully in a small company environment  Proactive, self-motivated personality  Bachelor’s Degree  Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Salary and Benefits Pay/benefits are competitive based on industry standards.  Salary will be based on experience  Incentive Compensation Package  Benefits include health care, 401(k)…  Partial and/or full financial support for professional accreditation/continuing education requirements and other education/training opportunities
