RFP Writer – Product Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary objective of this role is to complete and review RFPs, and provide fund commentary for all strategies.  This position is a multi-functional role and will interact with numerous team members across the firm regarding various investment policies, procedures, and issues. 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop a deep understanding of the Diamond Hill investment process, philosophy, and each strategy’s risk controls and return profile.
  • Complete and/or review RFPs, RFIs, and DDQs.
  • Research and manage creation of new content with subject matter experts (SME) as needed.
  • Generate sample RFIs quarterly for all products.
  • Assist with the maintenance of content in our proposal software (PMAPS) to ensure timely and consistent completion of requests.
  • Work with Product Team and SMEs to create new content (new regulations, new products, and industry issues).
  • Manage creation, distribution and maintenance of product related information.
  • Support quarterly marketing production – includes drafting product and client-specific commentary for all strategies.
  • Ad-hoc research initiatives as needed.
  • Understand and be able to communicate the current position of all firm strategies, recent changes in key holdings or sectors and investment results compared to benchmarks.
  • Interact/communicate with investment and non-investment staff regarding various investment policies, procedures and issues.
  • Maintain and enhance investment knowledge through continuing education and interaction with the investment team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and contribute in a team environment.
  • 3+ years of industry experience preferred.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic background required, preferably in investment, finance, economics or related business discipline.
  • CFA (or progress toward), CIPM, CIMA, or other industry designation preferred.
