Client Service Associate

POSITION SUMMARY
The primary objective of this role is to assist designated Relationship Managers with related client service, portfolio administration, and other functions as required to maintain and deepen excellent relationships with our clients and business partners. This position is a multi-functional role given its interaction with the operations, investment, trading, compliance, marketing, and business development teams.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
As part of the Relationship Management team, provide support to our clients and Relationship Managers through fulfilling client servicing needs, coordinating and participating on conference calls, and coordinating client meetings. • Support designated Relationship Managers in the creation of business plans to support assigned client relationships. • Coordinate or process cash and security transfers, client security restrictions, routine client information requests, and updating client information in our systems. • Coordinate new client onboarding processes, interested parties. • Understand the current positioning of our investment working with various internal teams as well as the client, consultant, intermediary, and any other parties involved. • Research and collaborate with other teams to resolve client or account issues initiated by clients, consultants, intermediaries, custodians, or other strategies, recent changes in key holdings or sectors, and investment results compared to benchmarks. • Participate in and coordinate various team initiatives, including identifying opportunities to improve process, procedures and communication to exceed client expectations. Responsibilities for each role outlined above are subject to change, and percentage of time allocated to each may vary by individual.

QUALIFICATIONS
2-5 years of experience in the financial services industry, preferable in a client service role. • Documented success in working with institutional clients. • Professional verbal and written communication skills. • Demonstrate a serious commitment to accuracy and quality, as well as strong organizational skills. • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive client information and non-public company data/information. • Self-motivated with initiative and desire to succeed, along with a strong focus on client service. • Work independently and as a collaborative team member, exhibiting strong-problem solving abilities. • Knowledge of investment management, preferably with the intrinsic value (Graham-Buffett) approach. • PC proficient in Windows environment (MS-Office suite), with experience using CRM, attribution and portfolio administration software preferred. • Working knowledge of the Investment Company/Advisors Acts of 1940 and the various related issues of industry compliance.

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree required. Majors in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field a plus. • Willingness to complete Investment FoundationsTM program through the CFA Institute to acquire a basic understanding of our business and industry or enrollment in CFA program a plus.
