Stocks and bonds do not have to be your only investment options. Commercial real estate may be the missing link in a traditional portfolio. The asset class can potentially provide durable income an offer opportunity for capital appreciation, along with other benefits that may improve the efficiency of a portfolio. Although not as common to stocks and bonds, institutions such as university endowments and pension funds have long used commercial real estate to diversify and improve the risk-adjusted performance of their portfolios. Today, Retail and High Net Worth investors have favorable access points to the same types of strategies that institutions have been using for decades.

Learning Objectives:

  1. By the end of the presentation, advisors will be able to evaluate where the current risk-adjusted opportunities are in the real estate space and being able to describe the 5 potential benefits of the asset class. (Income, Low-correlation, lower volatility, inflation protection, and enhanced risk-adjusted returns.
  2. By the end of the presentation, advisors will be able to describe the features and benefits of interval funds (1940 Act Funds).
  3. By the end of the presentation, advisors will be able to understand the potential benefits of blending private and public real estate into a singular strategy.
