About the program:
Utilizing Vanguard’s Advisor’s Alpha framework, the session will highlight the crucial role advisors play as behavioral coaches for their clients. Adding potentially 100 to 200 basis points of value, on average, Vanguard believes behavioral coaching is one of the most crucial elements of advice that enhances both client and practice outcomes.
In addition to providing insight into what Vanguard believes is the root cause to the investor behavior problem, the session will include useful frameworks that the firm has developed for advisors to incorporate into their practices to become more effective coaches.
About the speaker:
Ted Dinucci, CFA, is a Senior Investment Strategist in Vanguard’s Investment Advisory Research Center, the team tasked with creating thought leadership for our intermediary advisory partners across a range of investment, wealth management and financial planning topics.
Prior to his current role, he was a Senior Specialist in Vanguard’s Private Equity Group, where he led the team’s private market research agenda and assisted with manager and market due diligence. Before joining the Private Equity Group, Mr. Dinucci was a Senior Research Analyst in Vanguard’s Investment Strategy Group where he was a member of the team responsible for conducting multi-asset research and for establishing the firm’s global thought leadership on portfolio construction matters. In other capacities, Mr. Dinucci spent time evaluating global, long-only equity managers and worked directly with Vanguard’s institutional clients to construct custom portfolio solutions and support bespoke research engagements.
Mr. Dinucci earned a B.A. in food marketing from Saint Joseph’s University and is a CFA® charterholder.
