In the 1980's there were over 60 AAA rated companies. By 2008, that number had fallen to just six. Today, just one company retains the coveted AAA rating. In this presentation, we discuss the evolution of the corporate credit ratings, including the rising number of BBB-rated companies and the possible impact for investors during the next downturn.
