Roach McIntyre & Associates

Position:  The Lead Advisor is an integral component of Roach McIntyre & Associates as they will work directly with our Managing Advisors to elevate multi-generational client relationships, cultivate active client relationships, and provide direct financial planning advice in line with our core values and planning philosophy. Once acclimated to the Roach McIntyre & Associates process, the development path for the Lead Advisor includes transition into a full-time Financial Advisor role.This is critical to the Lead Advisor’s career track, as they become solely responsible for managing up to 100 active advisory relationships under the Roach McIntyre & Associates umbrella.

The Lead Advisor will:

  • manage 50-75+ active client relationships
  • assess current client base to determine planning & financial goals
  • refer clients to Associate Advisors for service needs
  • prepare/present financial plans & recommendations for existing and new clients
  • drive the planning process discussions during prospect and client meetings
  • assist analysts, service advisors, and Managing Advisors with client communication
  • cross-train within all facets of operations – from administration to implementation & servicing

Required Qualifications:

  • 4-year college degree in business, finance, and/or planning
  • 3-5 years of active experience in financial services and/or wealth management
  • substantial knowledge in investments, tax, and estate planning
  • adept soft skills – integrity, dependability, adaptability, and empathy
  • strong organizational skills – time management & prioritizing
  • excellent social skills – communication, verbal & written
  • solid analytical skills – critical thinking
  • mature, positive, and friendly
  • not always right
  • I am using my neighbor, too!!!willing to be daily lunch runner
  • good sense of humor (no, seriously, jokes are an interview requirement)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current Ohio Insurance License
  • Current FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 licenses
  • CFP® designation, or on track for completion of requirements
  • Experience with financial planning software (e.g., NaviPlan, yCharts, Morningstar, etc.)
  •  Familiarity with life insurance rules, terminology, and illustrations
  • A doughnut shop on your way to the office – the team likes treats
  • Self-sourced business development is not required; however, it is a welcome addition
